Who built PRIMELIFE?

I'm Lucas Ungurean, founder of PRIMELIFE. I designed, built, and coded the entire app myself as a solo founder, including product, interface, backend, and the AI coaching layer.

Why did Lucas Ungurean build PRIMELIFE?

In January 2024 I weighed 200 lbs and carried 30%+ body fat. I wasn't out of shape on paper, but I felt sluggish, my lifts had stalled, and I kept starting "Monday diets" that never stuck.

Over the next 5 months I dropped to 151 lbs and 15% body fat. The shift wasn't a crash cut. It was hitting protein targets daily, lifting four days a week, and finally treating sleep like part of training instead of an afterthought.

What frustrated me was the tooling. My macros lived in one app, workouts in another, sleep in Apple Health, and habits in a notes app. None of them talked to each other. Generic plans couldn't see that I'd slept five hours, skipped protein at lunch, or doubled leg volume that week. Primo-style chatbots gave motivational fluff with zero context.

I built PRIMELIFE because I wanted one system that reads my actual data, including meals, sessions, recovery, and habits, and tells me what matters today. Every feature in the app exists because I needed it on my own transformation.

What is PRIMELIFE?

PRIMELIFE is an iOS performance system for nutrition, training, recovery, and habits. Your Prime Score rolls those signals into one daily readiness number, and Primo, the in-app AI coach, answers questions using the data you actually log, not generic advice.

The Free tier covers core tracking with limits on Primo messages and photo scans. Prime Plus unlocks more coaching, barcode scanning, and higher daily caps, billed through the App Store at $16.99/month or $89.99/year once we launch.

Prime Readiness Dashboard

Each morning, Prime Score combines four pillars: Nutrition, Training, Recovery, and Habits. Together they form a single 0 to 100 number on your Today tab.

Nutrition reflects protein adherence and logging consistency. Training weighs session completion and weekly volume against your targets. Recovery pulls sleep duration and quality plus resting signals. Habits track streaks and daily check-ins. Together they answer one question: how ready are you to perform today?

Primo AI Coach

Primo is not a generic chatbot. Before it replies, it loads your recent meals, workouts, sleep, habits, and trend data. Ask why body fat ticked up, whether to push or deload, or what to eat after a late session, and answers reference your numbers, not a template.

On Free, daily Primo messages are capped. Prime Plus raises those limits so you can use Primo as an ongoing coach, not a one-off demo.

Workout logging & generation

Log sets, reps, and weight manually or generate structured workouts with AI when you want a starting point. PRIMELIFE tracks volume and frequency over time so you can see whether you're progressing or repeating the same week.

Nutrition & protein tracking

I simplified nutrition around what actually moved my body composition: protein. Log meals manually, scan barcodes on Prime Plus, or snap a photo for a Primo estimate. The focus is hitting your protein target, not wrestling with a massive calorie database you'll abandon in a week.

Habit tracking

Daily habits like steps, reading, mobility, or whatever you define live on your Today plan with streaks, completion history, and quick check-ins. Habits feed directly into your Prime Score, so consistency shows up in the same place as training and recovery.

Sleep & recovery tracking

Log sleep duration and quality, or import from Apple Health. Poor sleep drags your Recovery pillar and your overall Prime Score, which is the point. The dashboard makes under-recovery visible before you stack another hard session on top of it.

How accurate is PRIMELIFE's tracking?

Accuracy starts with the source. With your permission, PRIMELIFE reads steps, active energy, sleep, and related signals through Apple HealthKit instead of relying on manual entry alone. You can still log manually when you want full control.

Nutritional estimates, whether from photo scans or barcode lookups, are approximations. Body composition and Prime Score are guides for self-improvement, not medical measurements. I built the system to be honest about uncertainty while still giving you actionable trends.

Privacy

PRIMELIFE does not sell your data. There are no ads. HealthKit data is never used for advertising. You can delete your account and associated data anytime inside the app, or contact me at lucas@primelife.one. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
